Cours de guitare avec We Can Work It Out des Beatles.

Publiée en 1965, We Can Work It Out des Beatles est l’exemple parfait  d’une chanson née de la fusion entre Paul McCartney et John Lennon. L’idée principale viens de Paul,  et John y ajoute le pont, la musique et les paroles.

Le chanson est adressée à Jane Asher, au moment où sa carrière d'actrice décolle. En octobre 1965 elle doit s'éloigner de Londres, et donc de Paul, pour suivre sa compagnie théâtrale. Chaque couplet de la chanson présente les deux points de vue: celui de Paul et celui qu'il attribue à Jane. Bien sûr, il considère qu'il a raison, et que Jane a tort.

C'est John Lennon qui avec le  pont contrebalance l'aspect trop optimiste de Paul, comme il le dit lui même en 1980 : « La vie est trop courte pour se chamailler comme ça » (« Life is very short, and there's no time for fussing and fighting, my friend »).
